Butcombe Brewing Co. asked us to create a campaign that raised awareness of their new beer; Stateside Session IPA. To do this, we hosted tasting pop-up events around Bristol – home of Butcombe Brewery – and linked the promotion to a competition over the August bank holiday.
The Stateside Bike travelled Bristol, with beer attached, offering free tasters to passers-by as well as stopping at Butcombe's pubs along the way. Footage of the bike was later used in post-event socials whilst a longer edit will be used by Butcombe to approach supermarkets and pubs outside of Bristol.
The Stateside Session IPA is a punchy session IPA made from both American and English hops and malts. Our campaign celebrated the best of American and English culture via socials covering transatlantic comparisons; Cowboy boots or welly boots? Donut or scone?
These animations teased the event in the run up to the bank holiday. Standing banners were also positioned around Bristol on the day to drive more awareness of the event.
Our landing page allowed you to track the Stateside Bike as well as enter the competition for the chance to win beer for a year and other prizes.
The Stateside Session IPA was a hit amongst new tasters and Butcombe-veterans alike.
