East Sussex County Council

The challenge

We may think we live in enlightened times, but many occupations remain unofficially ‘out of reach’ for certain genders. East Sussex County Council asked us to create a teaching resource to help secondary school pupils shape future career plans.

The creative

Our pack contained a series of arresting posters, designed to act as prompts for discussion. We also researched a series of case studies featuring ‘gender pioneers’ to prove to teens that anything is possible.

The results

The campaign was widely used in schools, and the Department for Education recognised it as an example of best practice and shared it across the country with other county councils for use in the curriculum. It was also recognised by a European education commission.
