The Keep – Creating a new brand for an ancient archive

Our brief at this new archive – shared by Brighton Council, the County Council and the University of Sussex – was to challenge the perception of archives as irrelevant to the present. We created a modern identity that’s all about learning, discovery and adventure informed by the past.

Our solution aims to create an inviting environment for young and old alike. The brand’s values of learning, discovery and adventure are brought to life with a verbal device that urges visitors to ‘keep exploring’, ‘keep learning’, ‘keep coming back’ etc.
